As if you needed another reason to come in for a delicious pizza, Sunday, September 20, is Pepperoni Pizza Day! There’s no better way to celebrate than with one of our almost-famous pizza pies, whether you prefer our Neapolitan-style (round) pizza or Sicilian (square) pizza. We offer personal (10-inch) gluten-free pizza too, so you can get the whole gang together to celebrate with us!
Besides shape, what’s the difference between Neapolitan and Sicilian pizza? We’re glad you asked! Sicilian pizza, which originated in Sicily, is usually saucier than Neapolitan pizza and the crust is more spongy and bread-like. Neapolitan pizza, on the other hand—which comes from Naples—has a thinner crust with just a little bit of cheese and typically fewer toppings than a Sicilian pizza. Both are delicious!
At Georgina’s, we want to make sure you get everything your heart (and tummy) desires when it comes to pizza, so we also give you the option to add as many toppings as you’d like to any of our pies. Pair pepperoni with additional meats like chorizo, crumbled bacon, and homemade meatballs; vegetables such as artichoke hearts, portobello mushrooms, and banana peppers; or—dare we say it—pineapple. The world—er, pizza—is your oyster!
